1. Project Overview

CallScriber was developed to support the automatic transcription and analysis of intercepted communications used in criminal investigations. The project combines speech recognition, speaker segmentation, and content analysis technologies within a centralized investigative platform. 2. VoiceInteraction's Contribution

VoiceInteraction developed the CallScriber platform and the speech technologies that support the automatic transcription and analysis of intercepted communications. The project combines automatic speech recognition, speaker segmentation, content analysis, and reporting capabilities within a centralized investigative environment. Working alongside the Judiciary Police, VoiceInteraction designed a solution capable of importing, managing, transcribing, and analyzing intercepted calls while maintaining the security and confidentiality requirements of criminal investigations.

4. Outcomes & Impact

The CallScriber project resulted in a centralized system with national coverage that allows criminal police investigators and intelligence services to consult, analyze, and export complete transcripts of telephone interceptions. The platform automatically generates multilevel dialogue representations, identifies speakers throughout conversations, and provides tools for transcript editing and correction. Additional content analysis capabilities enable the identification of conversation patterns and support investigative activities. Through integrated learning mechanisms, the system continuously improves transcription quality based on user corrections, reducing manual effort and increasing the efficiency of investigative workflows over time.

5. Partners & Consortium

CallScriber was developed in collaboration with the Judiciary Police through its PJ-UTI-AESE unit, which participated as both a user and recipient of the project's results.

Throughout the development process, operational stakeholders contributed expertise and validation to ensure that the platform addressed the real needs of criminal investigation and intelligence workflows while maintaining strict security and confidentiality requirements.
