1. Project Overview

The application of artificial intelligence to large-scale data analysis is creating new opportunities for law enforcement agencies to investigate, prevent, and respond to crime. EMPOWER brings together law enforcement organizations, research institutions, and technology providers to pilot and validate a new generation of AI-powered investigative tools across Europe. The project focuses on technologies for image and video analysis, voice and text intelligence, and federated learning, supporting operational activities related to cybercrime, terrorism, child sexual exploitation, and public safety. By testing these solutions in real investigative environments, EMPOWER helps accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies by European Law Enforcement Agencies.

2. VoiceInteraction's Contribution

VoiceInteraction participates as a consortium partner supporting the development, implementation, and validation of investigative technologies for European Law Enforcement Agencies. The project brings together expertise across voice, text, image, video, and federated learning domains, with VoiceInteraction contributing its experience in speech and language technologies to support operational investigation workflows.

4. Outcomes & Impact

EMPOWER aims to strengthen the operational capabilities of Law Enforcement Agencies by piloting eight investigative tools across the areas of Image/Video, Voice/Text, and Federated Learning. The project supports investigations related to cybercrime, terrorism, child sexual exploitation, and the protection of public spaces, helping agencies access more advanced AI-powered capabilities in real operational contexts.
